Ops Planner Privacy Policy

This policy explains what information the Ops Planner Android app handles, where it is kept, and when it leaves your device. Ops Planner is published by HomeLabCore. If you have questions about this policy, contact us at [email protected].

What Ops Planner is

Ops Planner is a planning tool for distributing a department's tasks, duties, and events among employees across the week. It works entirely on your device and does not require an account or sign-in.

Information the app handles

Ops Planner works only with information that you type into it or import from a file you select. This can include:

• Employees — name, position, department, working days, working hours and breaks, email address, and vacation periods.
• Departments — department names.
• Tasks, duties, and events — titles, estimated hours, priority, and times.
• Assignments — which item is assigned to which employee on which day, and whether a task is marked in progress or done.
• Settings — language, theme, public-holiday country, working week, company name, and the manager's name, position, and email address.

On first launch the app fills in a small set of fictional sample data so you can see how it works. You can edit or delete it.

Public-holiday dates for Ukraine and the Netherlands are built into the app; they are not downloaded.

Where it is stored

All of the information above is stored in a database in the app's private storage on your device. It is not uploaded to HomeLabCore or to any other server, and there is no cloud sync. The app is configured to opt out of Android's automatic app-data backup, so this database is not copied to your Google account backup.

What we do not collect

The Ops Planner app does not request Android's internet permission and has no backend. As a result:

• HomeLabCore does not receive, store, or have access to any information you enter in the app.
• There are no user accounts or logins.
• There is no advertising and no advertising identifier is used.
• There are no analytics, usage statistics, or tracking.
• There is no crash reporting.
• We do not sell or share your information with anyone.

Information you choose to send or save

Some features let you pass information out of Ops Planner to another app or to a file. Nothing is sent automatically — each of these happens only when you tap the relevant button, and in each case you stay in control of what happens next.

Sharing a schedule by email

When you use Share schedule for an employee, Ops Planner composes a message containing that employee's name, the assigned task, duty, and event titles for the selected day or week, the dates, and your company name if you entered one. It then opens your own email app (through a standard Android mailto: link) with the employee's email address, subject, and message filled in. You can review, change, or discard the message there. The email is sent — if you choose to send it — by your email app and your email provider, not by Ops Planner or HomeLabCore.

Sending a workload report

When you generate a report, Ops Planner creates an Excel (.xlsx) file on your device containing the report title and dates, and for each employee their name, workload percentage, and the assignments, vacation, or day-off status for the selected days. The file is saved in the app's private cache folder. If you then choose to send it, Ops Planner opens your email app with the manager's email address from Settings, a subject, a short message, and the report attached. Android gives the email app you pick temporary permission to read that one file so it can attach it. Sending is done by your email app and provider; HomeLabCore does not receive the report.

Exporting and importing data

Export data creates a JSON file containing all of your Ops Planner data (the information listed above) and saves it through Android's system save dialog to a location you choose, such as your Downloads folder. That file is then outside the app: it is not removed when you uninstall Ops Planner, and anyone or any app with access to that location may be able to read it. Keep it somewhere safe and delete it when you no longer need it.

Import data reads a JSON file you select through Android's system file picker and replaces all current data in the app with its contents. Ops Planner only reads the file you pick.

Third-party apps and services

Ops Planner does not include any third-party SDKs that receive your information. The open-source libraries it uses (for the local database, file handling, spreadsheet generation, and opening links and emails) run entirely on your device.

When you choose to send an email or save a file, the email app, email provider, or storage location you select handles that information under its own privacy policy. HomeLabCore does not control those apps or services.

Android permissions

Ops Planner does not request access to your contacts, location, camera, microphone, photos, or the internet. It declares that it may open an email app for mailto: links and the system file picker, which Android requires apps to declare so they can hand off to those apps.

Information about other people

Ops Planner is designed to hold information about the people you plan work for, such as colleagues or staff. That information stays on your device. If you enter details about other people, you are responsible for doing so in line with the laws and workplace policies that apply to you, and for only sharing their schedules with the right recipients.

Retention and deletion

Because your data is stored only on your device, you control how long it is kept. HomeLabCore holds no copy, so there is nothing for us to delete on a server and no account to close.

• Delete individual items in the app — employees, departments, vacation periods, and tasks, duties, and events can each be deleted. Deleting an employee also removes their vacations, working-hour settings, and assignments.
• Delete everything — clear Ops Planner's storage in Android Settings (Apps → Ops Planner → Storage → Clear storage) or uninstall the app. This removes the database and any report files in the app's cache, and cannot be undone.
• Generated reports — report files stay in the app's cache until Android clears the cache, you clear the app's storage or cache, or you uninstall the app.
• Files and emails outside the app — export files you saved and emails you sent are not affected by the above. Delete them in your file manager or email app.

Security

Your data is kept in the app's private storage, which Android protects from other apps. Report files are shared with another app only when you choose to send them, and only through temporary, file-specific access. We recommend using a screen lock on your device and keeping any export files in a secure place.

Children's privacy

Ops Planner is a workplace planning tool intended for adults and is not directed to children. HomeLabCore does not collect information from anyone through the app.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as Ops Planner changes — for example, if a future version adds a feature that works differently from what is described here. When we do, we will update the effective date above, and significant changes may also be noted in the app or on this page.
