Ops Planner Support

Answers to common questions about Ops Planner are below. If they don't solve your problem, email us — we read every message.

Sharing a schedule or report by email

Ops Planner does not send email itself — it prepares the message and hands it to your email app. If nothing happens or you see an error:

  • Make sure an email app (such as Gmail or Outlook) is installed and signed in on your phone.
  • To share a schedule, the employee needs an email address — add it in the employee's form.
  • To send a workload report, add the manager's email address in Settings first.
  • If Android asks which app to use, pick your email app.
  • Check the message in your email app before sending; it is sent from your own email account.

Assigning work

  • Drag a task, duty, or event from the pool onto an employee's card to assign it to the selected day, the whole working week, or the set of days you picked.
  • Work can't be assigned to someone on a day they are on vacation — check their vacation periods in the employee's form.
  • If a workload percentage looks wrong, check the employee's working days, hours, and breaks, and the estimated hours of the assigned items.

Export, import, and moving to a new phone

Your data is stored only on your phone, so it is not restored automatically on a new device or after uninstalling.

  • Before changing phones or reinstalling, open Settings → Export data and save the JSON file somewhere you can reach from the new phone.
  • On the new phone, install Ops Planner, open Settings → Import data, and select that file.
  • Importing replaces all data currently in the app with the contents of the file.
  • If an import fails, make sure the file is an unmodified export created by Ops Planner.

Deleting your data

Ops Planner has no account and HomeLabCore keeps no copy of your data, so deletion happens on your device:

  • Delete individual employees, departments, vacations, or tasks, duties, and events from their forms in the app.
  • To remove everything, clear the app's storage (Android Settings → Apps → Ops Planner → Storage → Clear storage) or uninstall the app. This cannot be undone — export first if you may need the data later.
  • Export files you saved and emails you sent are separate — delete them in your file manager or email app.

See the Privacy Policy for details.

If the app misbehaves

  • Close and reopen the app, then restart your phone if the problem continues.
  • Make sure you have the latest version of Ops Planner installed.
  • Export your data before trying anything drastic such as clearing storage or reinstalling.

Reporting a bug

Email [email protected] with “Ops Planner” in the subject. These details help us fix it faster:

  • your phone model and Android version;
  • the Ops Planner version (shown in Android Settings → Apps → Ops Planner);
  • the app language you use;
  • what you did, step by step, what you expected, and what happened instead;
  • a screenshot or screen recording, if you can.

Please don't attach your export file or include real employee details unless we specifically ask — a description and screenshots are usually enough, and you can blur names.
